NEW YORK (Reuters) - Advancements in dentistry make it more likely that older adults will keep their teeth longer, which means ongoing oral health care is essential, a new study says. Unfortunately, it's not unusual for the frail and elderly to have poor oral hygiene.
This is my 2nd stay at Country Center for Health & Rehabilitation within the past year for my COPD. I had heard that Country Center had done some renovations and specialized in short-term rehabilitation. My stay has been great, it felt almost like a home experience, whatever I needed they were always right there from the nurses to CNA’s to dietary to housekeeping, I never wanted for anything. The staff made me feel like I was part of their family, like they were taking care of their mother. The therapy staff was excellent and gave me what I needed. I went way beyond my goals with the help of all the staff, they made me feel like a brand new woman. All the staff always had a smile on their face, was friendly, and never made me feel rushed. People went above and beyond for me. I had a roommate towards the end of my stay and to hear the staff interact with a person I didn’t know made me feel good because they were so kind, patient and friendly. If anyone is looking for placement for themselves, a loved one I would highly recommend Country Center, its home away from home.
