Recently a television health expert was discussing the topic, "How to Stay Young Looking" for the post-50 set. It was pretty much the standard 'take good care of your skin, eat right and exercise' list until the last item. He stated, "Take your drugs every day. One of the best ways to look younger is to stay healthy." Wait a minute! When did the use of prescription drugs become a mainstay of a healthy lifestyle in this country?

This is my 2nd stay at Country Center for Health & Rehabilitation within the past year for my COPD. I had heard that Country Center had done some renovations and specialized in short-term rehabilitation. My stay has been great, it felt almost like a home experience, whatever I needed they were always right there from the nurses to CNA’s to dietary to housekeeping, I never wanted for anything. The staff made me feel like I was part of their family, like they were taking care of their mother. The therapy staff was excellent and gave me what I needed. I went way beyond my goals with the help of all the staff, they made me feel like a brand new woman. All the staff always had a smile on their face, was friendly, and never made me feel rushed. People went above and beyond for me. I had a roommate towards the end of my stay and to hear the staff interact with a person I didn’t know made me feel good because they were so kind, patient and friendly. If anyone is looking for placement for themselves, a loved one I would highly recommend Country Center, its home away from home.
In the Nursing home business Excellence is not a skill, It is an Attitude. My Mom has been at the Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation for almost a year. During that time I have had the privilege to observe some of the finest, most dedicated professionals truly care for my mother better than I'd hope would be possible. April, Cheryl, Terri, Kelsey and Juanni (I hope I spelled it correctly) put the "A" Attitude. This "A" team brings something extra to the way they do their job. They see each of the residents as unique and spend time to know them as individuals which is no small task. I want to express my gratitude to each of you for not just doing your job..... but for doing it with passion and dedication. You have made a difference and it shows...Thank you!
